One of my top priority in my Manila trip this month is to get a taste of the famous Pink’s hotdog which originated at Los Angeles way back 1939. They finally opened a branch outside United States of America and i am so glad that it is just within my reach. It is located at the 5th Avenue Side of Shangri-La at the Fort.
There are a lot of choices in the menu. I ordered the Hollywood Legend since it is one of their best sellers, it is a hotdog topped with Pink’s famous chili, cheddar cheese, mustard and chopped onions. It was heavenly! The chili was a perfect blend of spiciness and sweetness. It was the juiciest hotdog i ever tasted.
Franco ordered Coney Island, a hotdog topped with sauerkraut, grilled onion, relish, chopped onions, mustard and ketchup.
There are also homemade drinks and i ordered homemade ginger ale. It was good but i still love Canadian Dry ginger ale!
Inside the Pink’s restaurant is Farmacy Ice Cream and Soda Fountain. Perfect dessert after devouring our hotdogs. There are also homemade drinks and i ordered homemade ginger ale. It was good but i still love Canadian Dry ginger ale. Farmacy is from the Wild Flour group.
It was another gastronomic feast with the our usual food trip buddies when we are in Manila, Franco and Via. Looking forward to our next travel and food trip!
